The workshop aims to bring together scholars and students in the social sciences and
neighbouring disciplines with an interest in insular Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia,
Singapore, Philippines, Brunei, and Timor-Leste). Participants are invited to present and
discuss their recent and current research, share experiences, and explore new fields and
opportunities for future projects in research, teaching, and other forms of collaboration. As
a primary aim of this event is to foster communication and networking between like-minded
colleagues, we encourage participants to propose different and innovative formats beside
more conventional presentations.
